Wow... so I'm never on here anymore.

In case you hadn't noticed.

Yeah, well, sometimes life doesn't go as planned. When does it ever, actually? I'm not a full-time designer anymore. If you look at my gallery, I'm sure you could have told me that. I'm not great, I know. I love art. I love graphic design. I love photography. I love web design. I love working with computers and trying to restart networks and drawing doodles on the back of my work calendar.

I miss feeling like a real, bona fide artist.

Instead, I feel like a has-been.

So, I usually go to these things every year and wanted to give people heads up. I've been busy with freelance and my regular 8-4 job, so doing personal work... out the window. I will be walking around with business cards in hand, however, if anyone is interested in web design for their portfolio, group or company. I have nearly 3 years of experience, dabbling in all sorts of web design ventures.

I'll be with my brother, mostly near the vendor tables and/or the inner ballroom store area. I'll be in the Sesame Street mustache t-shirt. ;)

(Yeah, that shirt is totally professional.)

Evidentally, it's not DA. Not that I don't have any qualms against the site, I just don't visit anymore. Like, ever.

That and being fired 3 times professionally in a one-year span really makes you feel bad.
And in all honesty, the first guy was a jerk. The second was a con-artist and up and ran with my paycheck. The third, well, they were nice about it. And promised freelance work if it arose. The work just isn't here anymore. Not enough to live on for me, anyhow. Not for a web designer and graphic designer. Which makes me sad. Am I becoming obsolete already? I'd hope not. Not after 5 years of school and degree. Plus 2 years of professional background.

Either way, I may be on DA, I may not. Feel free to defriend me. And for those who know my email address, you can contact me that way, too. ;)

I wish it was hot. I seriously cannot feel my fingers right now on my right hand. I'm THAT cold! Brrr!
I wish my boss would turn up the heat.

Anyway, I'm working on a set of calendars for our church's Christmas Bazaar coming up. Simple calendars, but I wanted to check them out. And I really need to get started on putting them together. Yes.

Eh, I'm not in the mood to do anymore Digital Musings right now. My last one looked terrible, so I trashed it. Not even get let anyone see it, it was that awful. Didn't even go with the theme, so I dunno what I was thinking.

I want to revamp my professional site, but IDK what to do. Joomla is a little too confusing for me, Drupal is too big for my website. I don't need anything that large operating. I guess CSS and HTML is the way to go for now. And, you'd be proud of me web designers out there: I'm using almost straight CSS for building webpages now. Gosh, it's so much easier now that I'm learning to make websites this way. I plan my usual way in sketches, then Photoshop. But then I think also about my design and cut the images accordingly. It's fun, yet tiring. But still fun.

I've been doing research in my off-time about new designers in the world. David Airey is one of them. I've been following his FSS blog feeds and this man has some wonderful things to say about design and where it's headed. Check it out here:
